| Once you have started a Linux video, you will see control buttons - some at the left and some at the right - and a scroll bar across the bottom of the video display. |
The Start, Pause and Stop Buttons - at the Left |
| The three buttons at left allow you to Start, Pause and Stop a Video Tutorial. |
| The next button to the right is the Pause button and it has two vertical bars on it. Use this button to pause a video so you can do the hands-on exercises you've just seen - or when you need to take a longer look at something on the screen. Then click the Play button to continue. |
| The next button to the right is the Stop button and it has a square on it. This stops the video and the "slider" at the bottom goes back to the beginning so you can start from the beginning again. |
The Time, Rewind and Fast Forward Buttons - at the Right
| At the far right, on the right side of the progress bar, you'll see the amount of time that a video has been displayed for, and the total time of the video. |
| The two buttons at the far right (beside the time) allow you to "Rewind" (jump quickly back, for part of the video) and "Fast Forward" (jump quickly forward, for part of the video). |
Using the Pause Button - To Try the Steps Shown in the Videos |
| Remember that you can click on the Pause button to pause a Video Tutorial at any time. This allows you to temporarily stop the video so you can do the hands-on exercises you've just seen - or get a longer look at all of the information on the screen. To continue, just click the Play button. |
Using the Scroll Bar at the Bottom of Each Video |
| The scroll bar appears across the bottom of the video display and has the buttons described above on the left and right. |
| By clicking at a location on the scroll bar - between the left buttons and the right buttons - the video will advance to the location on the scroll bar that you clicked on. |
| For example, if you click at a point three quarters of the way along the scroll bar, you will advance to three quarters of the way through the video. |
| To watch another video, click on the "Click Here to Go Back" button and then select another video name from the list! |
